JV Gibson is a 6'2", 208-pound receiver from Opelousas, Louisiana, who attended Opelousas High School. He redshirted at Arkansas at Monticello in 2022, then played two seasons in the FCS before transferring to Oklahoma. In 2024 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Gibson earned Second-Team FCS All-America honors, recording 70 receptions for 1,215 receiving yards and nine touchdowns across 12 games. He led the FCS in receiving yards with performances including 183 yards and a 59-yard touchdown against Prairie View, earning FCS National Player of the Week. Gibson recorded 18 catches for 199 yards and a touchdown during Oklahoma's 2025 CFP run, including five receptions for 107 yards in the final two games.
