Josh Hough is a defensive tackle from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania who initially signed with Syracuse in 2021 as a running back before suffering a season-ending injury in fall camp. After redshirting in 2022, he transferred to PennWest California, where he appeared in nine games in 2023 with nine tackles. In 2024, Hough played all 13 games and recorded 18 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss as California reached the NCAA Playoff Quarterfinals. During the 2025 season, he appeared in 13 games for California, posting 58 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and three pass breakups while helping the team earn an NCAA Playoff berth and advance to the second round.
