Jaxon Newton is a true freshman linebacker for the Cincinnati Bearcats from Anniston, Alabama, where he attended Wellborn High School. A three-star recruit in the 2026 class, Newton recorded 22 tackles as a senior, including 20 solo stops, along with six tackles for loss and four sacks. Beyond his primary role at edge rusher, he lined up at defensive end, safety, running back, tight end, and wide receiver.
