Gi'Bran Payne is a 5'10", 210-pound running back from Cincinnati, Ohio, who attended La Salle High School before committing to Notre Dame as a four-star recruit in the 2022 class. He redshirted in 2022 after appearing in four games on special teams. In 2023, Payne played in all 13 games, recording 168 rushing yards on 45 attempts with two rushing touchdowns and a season-long run of 12 yards. He added nine receptions for 58 yards and two receiving touchdowns while contributing on kickoff returns. After missing the 2024 season due to injury, Payne returned in 2025, appearing in all 12 games with nine carries for 56 yards, including a 24-yard run at Arkansas. He is now a redshirt senior transfer at Cincinnati.
