Jason Jeffares is a tight end for the Charlotte 49ers standing 6'3" and weighing 230 pounds. A native of Charlotte, NC, he attended Charlotte Catholic High School, where he competed in football and tennis. He redshirted during his freshman year in 2023 and did not appear in games as a redshirt freshman in 2024. In 2025, his redshirt sophomore season, Jeffares appeared in four games primarily on special teams. He recorded two receptions for 18 yards, including a six-yard catch against UTSA and a 12-yard reception in the season finale at No. 24 Tulane. He also contributed on kickoff returns with 18 yards on two attempts. Jeffares is currently a returning redshirt junior.
