Mayson Hitchins is a senior linebacker for Central Michigan standing 6'1" and weighing 225 pounds. A native of Orange, California, Hitchins graduated from El Modeno High School in 2023 before enrolling at Weber State University. Over three seasons with the Wildcats, he appeared in 28 games and recorded 61 solo tackles among 148 total, along with 8.0 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and one blocked kick. As a junior in 2025, Hitchins led Weber State with 91 tackles in 12 games and earned All-Big Sky honors. He transferred to Central Michigan in June 2026 after graduating from Weber State with a degree in Business Administration.
