Jayel Harris is a running back for Central Michigan, standing 5'11" and weighing 190 pounds. The Cincinnati native transferred to Withrow University High School for his senior season, where he rushed for 564 yards and six touchdowns on 68 carries while averaging 8.3 yards per carry across nine games. As a junior at Purcell Marian High School, he accumulated 2,109 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns. Harris was rated a three-star recruit and committed to the Chippewas on April 25, 2024, choosing Central Michigan over an offer from Massachusetts. He is a true freshman in 2026.
