D.J. Bennett is a 6'5", 265-pound senior defensive lineman from White Springs, FL, who attended Columbia High School. He played one season at Henderson State before transferring to Louisburg College, where he recorded 7.5 sacks for 63 yards as a sophomore in 2022. Bennett enrolled at Central Michigan in January 2024 and appeared in one game that season. In 2025, his first full year with the Chippewas, he saw action in 12 games with three starts at defensive end, recording nine tackles (five solo), one quarterback hurry, and two pass breakups. His season included a career-high three tackles at Akron on October 4 and two pass breakups in the opener against San Jose State on August 29.
