Jacob Arop is an offensive lineman from South Omaha, Nebraska who attended Bellevue West High School, where he did not begin playing football until his junior year. He redshirted during his 2024 freshman season at South Dakota. In 2025, Arop made his collegiate debut as a redshirt freshman, appearing in 11 games with seven starts. He earned MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors following a 24-17 victory over South Dakota State on November 8, 2025. The Coyotes finished 10-5 and reached the FCS Playoffs quarterfinals while ranking No. 17 nationally in sacks allowed and No. 19 in rushing offense. Arop now plays left tackle for California as a redshirt sophomore.
