Siale Esera is a 6'3", 250-pound linebacker for the BYU Cougars wearing No. 54. A four-star recruit from the 2023 class, Esera was ranked No. 451 nationally with a rating of 0.8901. At Timpview High School, he earned 2022 5A Defensive Player of the Year and Linebacker of the Year honors, recording 76 tackles, two sacks, and an interception that season. He accumulated 20 sacks and 31.0 tackles for loss across his prep career. In 2025, Esera recorded 44 total tackles, 18 solo tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and four quarterback hurries. He is a returning player and redshirt junior for the upcoming season.
