Jake Clifton is a 6'2", 230-pound rover from Owasso, Oklahoma, who transferred to BYU after serving a two-year mission in Nicaragua. He played two seasons at Kansas State (2022–2023), appearing in 19 games total. As a true freshman in 2022, Clifton recorded 12 tackles across 11 games. In 2023, he started three of eight contests, accumulating 24 total tackles and 2 tackles for loss. At Owasso High School, he earned 2021 District 6A1-2 co-Defensive Player of the Year honors and won a state championship as a sophomore in 2019. Clifton also lettered in track and basketball in high school.
