LJ Martin is a 6'2", 225-pound running back from El Paso, Texas, who joined BYU as a three-star prospect ranked No. 37 at his position nationally. In his true freshman season (2023), he recorded 109 carries for 518 yards and four rushing touchdowns. During the 2025 campaign, Martin rushed 236 times for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 36 receptions for 255 yards, earning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors. He was named to the Doak Walker and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch lists in 2024 and earned Valero Alamo Bowl Offensive MVP. Martin is a returning senior.
