Kinilau Fonohema is a 6'5", 250-pound left defensive end from Springville, Utah. A three-star recruit with a composite score of 87, Fonohema was ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect in Utah. During his senior season at Springville High School, he recorded 88 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, and 18 quarterback hurries while earning 5A All-State First Team honors. As a junior in 2022, he posted 51 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 11 tackles for loss while recording a pick-six and five fumble recoveries. In 2025 as a redshirt sophomore, Fonohema appeared in five games for BYU, logging four total tackles including two against Portland State.
