Joseph Douglas is a 6'2", 210-pound safety for the BYU Cougars. Born in Queens, New York, he hails from Tooele, Utah, where he attended Tooele High School and played both sides of the ball. Before joining BYU, Douglas competed in track and field at Utah State in 2024, recording a 10.81 personal best in the 100m at the Utah Tech Invitational and a 22.02 in the 200m. He earned Academic All-Mountain West and MWC Scholar-Athlete honors in 2024. Douglas, a sophomore, returns to the Cougars after serving an LDS mission in Knoxville, Tennessee and Osorno, Chile.
