Adney Reid is a defensive end for BYU standing 6'5" and weighing 236 pounds. The Spanish Fork, Utah native comes from a football family: his father Gabe played tight end at BYU from 1999-02, and his uncle Spencer was a linebacker for the Cougars from 1994-97. Reid was a three-star recruit with a composite score of 85 and received interest from Utah before committing to BYU. He played rugby and basketball in high school and spent time in Australia during his freshman year while his father served as a mission president. Reid currently wears No. 42 as a true freshman with the Cougars.
