Jay Kastantin is a junior quarterback for Bowling Green who transferred to the program in January after three seasons at NCAA Division II Assumption. At Assumption, he appeared in 22 games and compiled 3,658 passing yards with 28 touchdowns on 299-of-515 completions, while also rushing for 710 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2025, Kastantin earned Northeast-10 Conference MVP honors and first-team All-NE10 selection. That season he completed 138 of 223 passes for 1,974 yards and 19 touchdowns, leading the conference in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and passing yards per game at 219.3. He also recorded 530 rushing yards on 100 carries with five rushing touchdowns and posted a 159.9 passing efficiency rating.
