Mariyon Sloan is a true freshman running back for Boise State from Shafter, California. A three-star recruit standing 5'10" and weighing 190 pounds, Sloan earned two-time South Sequoia League Player of the Year honors at Shafter High School. He accumulated 6,055 all-purpose yards and 85 total touchdowns across four seasons, including back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing campaigns as a junior and senior with 1,419 and 1,111 yards respectively. Sloan also logged 100 receptions for 1,677 yards and 24 touchdowns as a receiver during his freshman and sophomore years, while posting 254 tackles, nine interceptions, and five fumble recoveries on defense.
