Sire Gaines is a redshirt sophomore running back for Boise State from Perris, California. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, he appeared in three games during his freshman year before suffering a season-ending injury. He logged 110 rushing yards on 12 carries and 44 receiving yards on three receptions in his collegiate debut against Georgia Southern, including a 38-yard rushing touchdown and a 17-yard receiving touchdown. In 2025, Gaines appeared in all 14 games, starting two, and recorded 812 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 161 carries while catching 11 passes for 72 yards and one receiving touchdown.
