A three-star recruit ranked No. 736 nationally and No. 8 at his position in California, Taylor finished his high school career with 7,999 passing yards and 84 touchdowns on 551 completions. As a senior, he completed 176 of 251 passes for 2,449 yards and 30 touchdowns while leading Thousand Oaks to the CIF Southern Section playoffs.
