Trent Thomas is a 6'6", 260-pound defensive end from Missouri City, Texas, where he attended Thurgood Marshall High School. A consensus three-star prospect, Thomas was rated the No. 74 edge rusher nationally and No. 135 overall in Texas by recruiting services. In his 2022 senior season, he recorded 47 total tackles including 18 solo, seven tackles for loss, six sacks, one pass breakup, and forced a fumble across eight games before a season-ending injury. He redshirted in 2023 and did not play in 2024. Thomas earned a spot in the defensive line rotation during fall camp in 2025, appearing in eight games and recording two tackles, including single stops against Cincinnati and UCF.
