Garrick Ponder is a JACK linebacker from St. Petersburg, Florida, who prepped at Pinellas Park High School where he earned defensive MVP honors and first-team all-county recognition. Ponder played three seasons at North Alabama (2022–2024) before transferring to Southern Miss for the 2025 campaign. Across 28 career games, he has recorded 37 tackles, 11.5 for loss, and 4.5 sacks in 2025, adding one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. At North Alabama in 2024, he appeared in 12 games with eight starts, posting 29 tackles, 4.5 for loss, one sack, and three QB hurries. Ponder joined Baylor as a transfer for the 2026 season.
