A consensus four-star recruit ranked 281st overall, Turner was rated the No. 13 running back nationally by recruiting services. As a junior, he rushed for 1,668 yards and 23 touchdowns while averaging 7.83 yards per carry. Turner appeared in eight games during his 2025 freshman season at Baylor, missing early contests and later games due to injury. He compiled 65 carries for 320 yards and one rushing touchdown, adding six receptions for 21 yards. His longest run reached 40 yards.
