Tate Hoover is a tight end for Ball State who transferred in after playing nine games at Hutchinson Community College, which finished the season 11-1 as an NJCAA national champion. During his first collegiate season in 2024, he recorded three receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown, with a longest reception of 56 yards. At Manhattan High School, Hoover played offensive line and served as team captain his senior year when the Indians went 13-0 and won a 6A KSHSAA State Championship. In 2025, he has appeared in games as a redshirt junior transfer.
