Ka'Shawn Thomas is a defensive tackle transfer from Wake Forest to Ball State. The 6'1", 292-pound junior from Brunswick, Georgia spent three years with the Demon Deacons, appearing in three games last season with 18 snaps during the regular season and a bowl appearance against Mississippi State. At the high school level, Thomas recorded 163 tackles, 17 tackles-for-loss, six sacks and one fumble recovery across his career at Brunswick HS, where he served as a team captain. As a senior in 2022, he posted 61 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, one sack and one fumble recovery while leading the Pirates to a 10-0 regular season. Thomas was named Brunswick News defensive player of the year as a junior after tallying 56 tackles, eight tackles-for-loss and three sacks.
