Jackson Ruess is a 6'4", 302-pound center for Ball State from Crown Point, Indiana. He attended Crown Point High School, where he earned varsity letters in both wrestling and football across four years. In wrestling, Ruess was a two-time state team champion and two-time dual state champion, and helped his team to a state runner-up finish. During his senior football season, he earned first-team all-conference honors and led Crown Point to a 10-1 record and conference title. Ruess redshirted in 2023 and saw no action in 2024 as a redshirt freshman. He is a returning redshirt junior for the Cardinals in 2026.
