Gannon Knowles is a 6'0", 210-pound true freshman linebacker for Ball State. The Indianapolis native attended Cathedral High School, where he lettered three seasons under head coach Bill Peebles. During his sophomore through senior campaigns, Knowles recorded 121 tackles, 72 of which were solo stops, along with 30.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks. He helped Cathedral to a 21-12 mark over three years and appeared in the IHSAA 6A regional championship as a sophomore. Knowles is the son of Ball State defensive coordinator Jeff Knowles.
