Shakai Woods is a defensive tackle for Arkansas State who transferred from Middle Tennessee. The 6'0", 305-pound junior from Douglasville, Georgia, played at Middle Tennessee from 2023 to 2025. In 2025, he appeared in 11 games with 50 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and three quarterback hurries. During his 2024 freshman season, Woods appeared in all 12 games and earned CUSA All-Freshmen honors, recording 42 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. At Douglas County High School, he was named first-team all-state in 2022 and twice earned county Defensive Player of the Year.
