Jaylen Heyward is a cornerback for Arkansas State. The 6'0", 189-pound native of Rockledge, Florida, was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class, rated No. 10 safety nationally by national outlets and 30th among Florida players by Rivals. At UCF, he appeared in nine games in 2024 with one tackle and took the field in four games during 2025, recording three tackles. In high school, he played cornerback, running back and wide receiver, earning All-District 12 defensive back honors and accumulating 22 tackles, two interceptions and three forced fumbles as a senior.
