Clayton Amaya is a kicker for Arkansas State who hails from Spring Branch, Texas, where he attended Smithson Valley High School. At the prep level, he earned three First-Team All-District honors and two Second-Team All-District honors across kicking and punting duties, finishing 66-for-67 on PATs as a senior. In 2024, his first season with the Red Wolves, Amaya appeared in all but one game and handled 66 kickoffs for 3,927 yards with 26 touchbacks, including a season-high nine kickoffs against Southern Miss. During the 2025 campaign, he appeared in all 13 games as the primary kickoff specialist, executing 71 kickoffs for 4,097 yards at a 57.7-yard average with 25 touchbacks and one special teams tackle.
