Oscar Aguilar Jr. is a true freshman linebacker at Arizona State standing 6'3" and weighing 205 pounds. The Downey, California native was a four-year starter at Downey High, finishing as the school's all-time tackles leader with 368. Over his prep career, he compiled over 350 tackles, 49 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, seven forced fumbles, three recoveries, eight pass breakups and two interceptions. As a senior, he recorded 110 tackles with 16 tackles for loss, following 102 tackles as a junior and 80 as a sophomore. He was unanimously regarded as a three-star prospect and ranked No. 41 nationally at linebacker by national outlets.
