Bio

David Avit is a running back for Arizona State who transferred from Villanova. The Frederick, Maryland native starred at Winston Churchill High School, where he was a two-time first-team All-State honoree and set a school record with 3,841 career rushing yards. As a Villanova freshman in 2024, Avit rushed for 923 yards and nine touchdowns on 173 carries, setting a program freshman record and earning CAA Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. In 2025, he recorded 687 rushing yards and eight touchdowns while earning preseason All-Conference recognition. He ranked fourth among FCS running backs in short yardage situations with an 87.8 grade and converted 11 of 16 first-down opportunities in those scenarios. From Winston Churchill · Frederick, MD.
