Caleb Sandstrom is a 6'3", 250-pound defensive lineman from Andover, Minnesota, who attended Elk River High School. He played for St. Thomas from 2023 to 2024, appearing in 10 games and recording 26 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss before transferring to App State with three seasons of eligibility remaining. In 2025, Sandstrom appeared in all 13 games, starting three at edge defender. He finished with 24 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks. Notable performances included 1.5 sacks against Lindenwood, a sack at JMU, and a forced fumble recovery against Marshall that set up a go-ahead score in the 26-24 victory.
