Ty Haywood is a 6'5", 312-pound right tackle from Denton, Texas, who played high school football at Ryan under coach Dave Henigan. A five-star prospect coming out of high school, Haywood was ranked No. 18 on the top-300 national recruit rankings list and No. 5 tackle by national outlets, while also earning No. 20 overall and No. 4 tackle honors from recruiting services and the 247Composite. He competed in the Navy All-American Bowl and was a multi-sport athlete in shot put and discus. Haywood originally committed to Michigan over Alabama, Georgia, and Texas before entering the transfer portal. He appeared in three games during his 2025 freshman season at Michigan, splitting time between offensive line and special teams. Now at Alabama, he enters 2026 as a redshirt freshman.
