Jayvin James is a left tackle from Deerfield Beach, FL who attended Blanche Ely High School, where he was ranked as a three-star recruit and the No. 161 offensive tackle in Florida per recruiting services. James began his college career at Akron, playing in three games as a freshman before appearing in all 12 games with nine starts during the 2024 season. He transferred to Mississippi State for the 2025 campaign, where he started nine games at left tackle, played in 12 contests, and recorded 856 snaps while allowing three sacks. James now joins Alabama as a transfer.
