Cibastian Broughton is a quarterback for the Akron Zips standing 5'11" and weighing 175 pounds. A native of Orange Park, Florida, Broughton attended Fleming Island High School, where he started four years of varsity football. As a senior, he completed 65% of his passes for 1,949 yards with 21 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, while rushing for 943 yards and 13 touchdowns at 7.8 yards per carry. Over his high school career, he accumulated 6,394 passing yards and 72 passing touchdowns, plus 3,206 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns. A consensus three-star recruit ranked 29th nationally among dual-threat quarterbacks by national outlets, Broughton redshirted during the 2025 season and returns as a redshirt freshman.
