Rudy Varela is a center for the Air Force Falcons, standing 6'3" and weighing 295 pounds. A senior from Gilbert, Arizona, Varela attended Casteel High School, where he lettered in football, wrestling, track and lacrosse and earned all-state, all-conference and all-region honors in football. He completed his prep year at the Air Force Academy Prep School before joining the roster. In 2025, Varela appeared in two games against Utah State and Colorado State. He was part of an offensive line that contributed to Air Force leading the Mountain West in rushing (261.4 average) and ranking third nationally, while also leading the conference in passing efficiency and yards per completion.
