Calijah Kancey is a 6'0", 275-pound defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers selected him 19th overall in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of the University of Pittsburgh, where he appeared in 36 career games and recorded 93 tackles (34.5 for loss), 16.0 sacks, and was named a Unanimous All-American and 2022 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. In his rookie season, Kancey earned NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month honors in November 2023. Through three seasons with Tampa Bay, he has started all 26 regular-season games and all three playoff games. In 2024, after beginning the season inactive, Kancey led the Buccaneers with 7.5 sacks over 13 games played and was one of two NFL players to record a quarterback hit in 10+ consecutive games.
