Yahya Black is a 6'5", 279-pound defensive end who played five seasons at Iowa (2020–24) before being selected by Pittsburgh in the fifth round (164th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. Black made his NFL debut in Week 1 at New Jersey and started his first game in Week 3 against New England. During his rookie 2025 season, he appeared in 17 regular-season games with three starts, recording 28 tackles (10 solo), one pass defended, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He also appeared in one postseason contest, posting two tackles and one fumble recovery. His best performance came in Week 13 versus Buffalo, when he logged nine tackles (four solo) and a forced fumble.
