Nathan Shepherd, a defensive tackle from Ajax, Ontario, was selected 72nd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Jets out of Fort Hays State. He spent five seasons with New York (2018–2022) before joining the New Orleans Saints in 2023. Entering his ninth NFL season and fourth with the Saints, Shepherd appeared in 16 games with eight starts in 2025, recording 47 tackles (23 solo), three sacks, and four stops for loss. He earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Week Ten after a performance against Carolina that included his first career forced fumble.
