The Plaquemine, Louisiana native started 123 of 137 regular season games across stints with the Dolphins (2017–20), Patriots (2021–24), and Saints (2025), accumulating 221 solo tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 20 stops for loss. In 2025, his first season with New Orleans, Godchaux appeared in all 17 games with 14 starts, recording 14 solo tackles, 29 tackle assists, one stop for loss, and one forced fumble.
