Jaylen Reed is a safety for the Houston Texans who was selected 187th overall in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6'0", 212-pound defensive back spent four seasons at Penn State (2021–24), appearing in 50 games with 29 starts. Over his college career, Reed accumulated 181 tackles, five interceptions, seven passes defensed, 12.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In 2024, he started all 16 games and recorded 98 tackles (51 solo), three interceptions, six passes defensed, 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one touchdown. He earned All-Big Ten honorable mention recognition from coaches and media in 2023.
