Tory Taylor, a 6'4", 225-pound punter from Iowa, was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round (No. 122 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. During his college career, Taylor appeared in 49 games at Iowa from 2020 to 2023, recording 295 punts for 12,657 yards with 127 landing inside the 20-yard line. He won the 2023 Ray Guy Award and set an NCAA single-season yardage record with 4,479 yards in 2023. In his 2024 rookie season, Taylor compiled 82 punts for 3,911 yards with a 47.7 average and 34 punts inside the 20, earning Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Week 4. In 2025, he handled punts in all 17 games, posting 60 punts for 2,781 yards at a 47.8 average with a long of 69 yards, establishing the highest gross and net punting averages in Bears history.
