Braden Steely is a safety for the Western Michigan Broncos standing 5'11" and weighing 192 pounds. A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steely attended Fort Wayne Carroll High School, where he recorded 93 career tackles and 13 interceptions while earning First Team All-Conference and 6A All-State honors. He redshirted during the 2024 season. In 2025, Steely appeared in all 14 games as the Broncos captured a MAC Championship and won the Myrtle Beach Bowl, primarily contributing on special teams with four tackles. He made his collegiate debut at Michigan State and recorded tackles in contests against Rhode Island, Ball State, and Northern Illinois.
