Rodney Tisdale Jr., a 6'2" quarterback from Jacksonville, Florida, did not appear in games during his first season with Western Kentucky in 2024. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, he entered nine contests and started the final six, completing 139 of 212 passes for 1,432 yards with nine touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 108 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 52 carries. He posted 371 yards passing against Middle Tennessee on November 15 and threw four touchdown passes in the November 1 victory over New Mexico State. Tisdale earned Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors and was selected to the CUSA All-Freshman Team.
