Jaylen Lewis is a safety for Western Kentucky who transferred to the program in 2025 after one season at Temple. Originally from Brownsville, Tennessee, Lewis began his college career at Arkansas before appearing in 11 games with six starts for the Owls in 2024. During his first year with the Hilltoppers, he started all 13 games and tallied 74 total tackles, tied for second on the team. Lewis recorded three interceptions, 3.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble. He finished with a season-high 15 tackles in the game at LSU on November 22, which included 10 solo tackles and a sack. He was named CUSA Defensive Player of the Week following the Week 0 victory over Sam Houston and earned All-Conference USA Honorable Mention honors.
