Ta'a Malu is a 6'4", 280-pound defensive lineman from Tacoma, Washington, who plays for the Washington Huskies as a true freshman. A three-star recruit rated 0.8556, Malu attended Annie Wright Schools, where he played both offensive and defensive line. He began his football career as a junior in 2024, the inaugural season for the program, earning first-team All-Nisqually honors. In 2025, Malu recorded 36 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery as a senior, earning Washington State Football Coaches' Association 1A all-state defensive lineman honors and first-team All-Nisqually League recognition.
