Jacob Lane, a 6'5", 256-pound left defensive end from Puyallup, Washington, joined Washington as a three-star recruit in 2023. As a true freshman, he appeared in nine games including three postseason contests. In 2024, Lane played in 12 of 13 games while earning All-Big Ten academic honors. During the 2025 season, he started all 13 games and recorded 40 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks while adding two pass breakups. He was selected to the Big Ten All-Academic team and received team postseason recognition for his defensive contributions.
