Champ Taulealea is a 6'5", 344-pound right guard from Milpitas, California, who attended Valley Christian HS. A four-year varsity player on both lines, he earned multiple honors including the WCAL Freshman of the Year in 2021, WCAL Sophomore of the Year in 2022, and WCAL Junior Player of the Year in 2023. As a senior in 2024, he received first-team all-state recognition from both CalHiSports.com and MaxPreps.com, along with Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year in the West Catholic Athletic League. Taulealea enrolled at Washington in January 2025 and appeared in five games during the season, including contests against UC Davis, Purdue, UCLA, Oregon, and the L.A. Bowl versus Boise State, preserving a year of eligibility.
