Kyle Peterson is a safety for Washington State, standing 6'0" and weighing 197 pounds. The Pearland, Texas native enrolled in January 2025 and participated in spring practice before appearing in all 13 games during his freshman season on defense and special teams. Peterson registered nine total tackles, including six solo stops, and recovered one fumble in the season-opening victory over Idaho. He tied for the team lead with three special teams tackles—two on kickoff coverage and one on punt coverage. At Shadow Creek High School, Peterson logged 50 tackles with four interceptions as a junior and 48 tackles with six passes defended as a senior, earning unanimous All-District honors both seasons.
