Drake Metcalf is a center for the Virginia Cavaliers. The 6'2", 304-pound graduate transfer from Stanford and UCF was a four-star recruit from St. John Bosco High School in Orange, California. At Stanford (2020-22), he appeared in 10 games as a sophomore and played in three games as a junior. He transferred to UCF for the 2023 season, where he started four games at center across six total appearances. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed one sack and one hurry in 90 opportunities and graded 81.4, ranking 16th among FBS centers. After missing 2024 to injury, Metcalf returned to start all 14 games for Virginia in 2025, including three starts at center against Florida State, Louisville, and Washington State. He earned Athlon Sports Third Team and Phil Steele Fourth Team Preseason All-ACC honors for 2026.
